Installing The Program

The progam is contained in a self extracting file named regatta.exe. This file is about 3.8 mb. so it will take a while to download. Use the name regatta.exe when downloading. It must be downloaded on a hard disk with at least 10mb of space available, otherwise you will be unable to extract the program. (we told you the program was large)

Self-extract the program components by typing regatta. This causes the sub components to be extracted.

Run the extraction and disk creation program named prepare.exe which was extracted and now resides on your hard disk together with the self extracting program component files disk1, disk2, and disk3.
This program performs another extraction, and creates three compressed program floppies. You must have 3 blank and formatted high density floppies available. These become your program floppies.

You must install the program from these program floppies using the installation program go.exe contained on floppy1. The program will not run when installed from hard disk. You must use the installation program and install from floppies. See the read me file on floppy1.

The program will install into a directory drive:\regatta on the hard drive which you specify upon installation. It is important that you select a drive with 50 mb disk space, because the program does not like to change drive once installed.

To install the program, insert floppy1 and type go. Then answer some questions.
